  • The Bedfordshire packaging supplier takes the group brand used across 19 European markets and releases a tool for estimating peak packing costs before Black Friday.
  • Rajapack UK has renamed itself RAJA UK to match its parent group's branding across 19 European countries, and has launched a free tool that estimates what peak trading will cost a packing operation. The tool blends national retail statistics with the company's own order data and returns an illustrative figure rather than a quote.

Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, bringing the Bedfordshire-based supplier in line with the RAJA Group's brand across Europe.

The company says it supplies more than 43,000 UK businesses and has served the UK market since 1998. It belongs to the RAJA Group, which was founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher, whose first names gave the company its name. Using the group name is intended to give customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries the group serves.

Managing director Tom Rodda said the name had changed but what customers rely on had not: the same people, the same range and the same next-day service. He said that with peak only weeks away, the company had also made planning easier through a free tool that puts a number on what the busiest weeks will cost.

The name change comes alongside RAJA UK's Prepare for Peak tool, which is intended to help businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation, and what they could save, ahead of Black Friday on 27 November.

Users choose their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak, drawing on benchmarks that combine Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. They then enter their own figures, such as parcels handled a day and people packing.

According to the company, the tool returns an illustrative estimate rather than a quote.
