Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators built for remote work sites in Canada, adding 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW units at 600V to its Canadian rental fleet. The models are offered exclusively to Canadian contractors, the company said.
All three units are configured to Canadian market and regulatory requirements and are certified to CSA and UN31A standards, which cover electrical and fuel regulations in the country. Aggreko says the generators combine its current technology for reliable, low-emissions power with hardware tailored to local operating conditions, and were designed to meet and exceed local market needs.
Onboard 600V output on the largest unit
The 1200 kW model carries 600V capability onboard, which removes the need for a separate step-up transformer at the site. Aggreko states that the direct output reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and cuts the number of potential failure points, an advantage where large industrial loads already operate at 600V.
The two smaller units, at 145 kW and 210 kW, are canopy sets intended for deployment when power is needed quickly. The 1200 kW unit is positioned for large industrial loads. With the additions, Aggreko's Canadian fleet spans 25 kW to 1200 kW.
Target industries and support network
Through its Canadian service centres, Aggreko's energy specialists will work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power across a range of applications. The generators are aimed at commercial and industrial sites that need dependable low-emission supply rather than a grid connection.
Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market to Aggreko. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast, remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors, as evidence of clear Canadian demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured. He said the Canadian Tier 4 Final models pair the latest Aggreko technologies with hardware built to meet the specific requirements of operating in Canada.
Emissions, noise and off-grid data centres
Aggreko states that all three models deliver industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. Those are company claims about performance rather than independently verified results.
The company also points to Canada's expanding data centre industry, where provincial regulators are looking to limit how much power operators draw from the grid. In that setting, the Tier 4 Final generators are presented as off-grid supply that keeps facilities running while limiting disruption to surrounding communities.
